Event details

Come and hear MacDiarmid Institute researchers talk about the new Research Programmes included in the MacDiarmid Institute’s new research plan, which began with the start of their new contract on 1st July 2021.

Our scientists will talk about the four research programmes: Towards Zero Waste (Reconfigurable Systems), Towards Zero Carbon (Catalytic Architectures), Towards Low Energy Tech (Future Computing) and Sustainable Resource use (Mātauranga Māori Research Programme). They will also talk about the MacDiarmid Institute and what the start of the new contract means for us.

Associate Professor Franck Natali - Principal Investigator at the MacDiarmid Institute and Associate Professor at Victoria University of Wellington. Most of Franck’s scientific research spans from semiconductor material science to the fabrication of devices such as light emitting diodes and transistors.

Dr Emilia Nowak - Associate Investigator at the MacDiarmid Institute and a Senior Lecturer at the School of Food and Advanced Technology, Massey University. Emilia’s research revolves around experimental interface physics, bridging hydrodynamics with surface chemistry and fundamental interfacial properties aided by theory and computations.
