Theme 5: Inorganic Hybrid Materials

Theme 5 PIs with their recognised international excellence in fundamental, strategic and applied inorganic materials chemistry, nanomaterials and nanotechnology together with their strong interactions with industry are making an important and effective contribution to the development and applications of these important materials. They are leaders in their respective fields and work collaboratively together in an environment which stimulates and nurtures creativity in the science and entrepreneurship in the development and applications of the new materials, thereby contributing effectively to the goals of the MacDiarmid Institute and to NZ science.

The research is supported by the advanced instrumentation available within the MacDiarmid Institute including XRD, SEM, TEM, solid state NMR, Mossbauer spectroscopy, electrical conductivity, thermal analysis, surface area and GC analysis equipment.
