Visit to the MacDiarmid Institute by Don Eigler

On his recent visit to the Institute at Victoria University Don gave a presentation and toured the laboratories. Members of the Institute were pleased to be able to congratulate Don personally for his being awarded the 2010 Kavli Prize in Nanoscience by The Norwegian Academy of Sciences.

Don Eigler is an IBM Fellow, working at their Almaden Research Center in California, and he shares the prize with Prof Donald Seeman of New York University for their development of unprecedented methods to control matter on the nanoscale. He is a Member of the International Advisory Board of the MacDiarmid Institute. The Board meets once every two years at the Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology conference presented by the Institute.
