Little Materials, Big Stories – Women Nanoscientists tell their stories (July-October 2017)
The 2017 MacDiarmid Institute Regional Lecture Series has now finished. You’ll find more information about all past lectures below:
These free public talks in six locations around New Zealand (Tauranga, Napier, Whanganui, Nelson, Wanaka and Oamaru) discussed the realities of life as a scientist and the research in the MacDiarmid Institute – from Chemistry to Physics to Engineering to Biology and beyond.
Ever wondered what the life of a nanoscientitst is like? Wondering what it would be like being a female scientist in physics, chemistry or engineering – areas of science largely populated by male scientists?
We will be posting a highlights video on this page soon.
In the meantime, you can read a couple of the researchers’ stories here.
