PhD in Soft Tissue Scaffolds for Wound Care at Victoria University of Wellington

In collaboration with Mesynthes, a privately held regenerative medicine company, we have a studentship available working with the proprietary Endoform™ extracellular matrix (ECM) technology to generate new commercial products for soft tissue repair.

The student will work with the company while completing a PhD at Victoria University of Wellington and will be involved in the development of a diverse range of sustained-release drug delivery systems via micro-encapsulation or other polymer-based formulations.  The student should have an interest in soft mater/polymer sciences.

The aim is to develop a composite biomaterial capable of delivering the controlled-release of bioactives whilst supporting tissue regeneration.
